We started our training at the MTC (Missionary Training Center) in Provo, Utah. It was hard to say goodbye to family and friends this week but we are happy to be serving the Lord. We have made some new friends already and we will be travelling with some of them to the Philippines in two weeks. We have a nice room with all the amenities, nice people and a pleasant place to learn. Loving the air conditioning!

Our Mission Call

 On the first day of summer, June 21 2022, we began our missionary adventure! We got the kids together in person and on FaceTime, invited Dave’s sister and family together for the big reveal. We found out with everyone else when we opened the letter on the missionary portal. We had asked for North or South America, Spanish speaking, Temple or Church historical sites. But decided we would go wherever the Lord needed us.  We received our mission call to go to the Cavite, Philippines Mission. 🌴 Wow! What a mouth dropping surprise!  We thought preparing to submit for our recommendation back in April was a lot to do, but we have several lists on the go now to help us get ready to leave home at the end of August. 60 days and counting! We have zoom calls and emails and phone calls from the missionary department, MTC Language training and Missionary travel. Things are really rolling now!
